What you're offering: 24 Chocolate Truffles

I've been making chocolate truffles for 3 or 4 years now, and I only make them in the cold Winter months when I can work in a room colder than 50*F. They're pretty darn tasty.

They can be either vegan (made with coconut milk and coconut cream) or not (made with local heavy cream from my farmers' market).

There's a ganache filling, which can have almost any flavor at all. Just some of the options include: tea (I have some interesting black teas, matcha, and a few herbal teas that I keep for company but aren't to my taste); curry/masala; lime & coconut; galangal & lemongrass; cardamom & black pepper; habanero; laurel (bay leaves); sage; chai ... - really, almost anything that's not too wet can be a flavor. I've even been considering fruit flavors using jam, but I haven't tried that yet.

And then there's a hand-dipped coating of even more chocolate! I try to match how light or dark the coating is to the flavors in the ganache, but I can also take requests.

Notes: I will mail to anywhere in the northern hemisphere (I've successfully mailed truffles to Europe and the UK, but I'm willing to try anywhere). The last auction I did, it did take me several weeks to find the time to make the truffles, but I will do my best to have them out in a timely fashion. I'm planning to make a lot of chocolate the last week of bidding, anyway, so I'll set aside some in case you aren't picky about flavors.

I have a LOTR movie promotional poster of Legolas in the form of a life-sized cut-out that stands on its own like a giant paper doll. It's in pretty good, though not pristine, condition. Have him beside your bed to guard your sleep, or in your living room to freak out intruders.



The bright sun in this picture makes it look a little faded, but it's not. It folds once, at about his hip, and that's all I'll do to it when I ship. I'm in North America, but will ship anywhere if you'll split the shipping cost with me.

I also buy herbs in bulk from a local food co-op so I can make you a personal blend. You can be specific about what you want (if you win the bid, you can p.m. me with your tastes and I'll see what I've got) or ask for a surprise package.

Any notes for bidders: I wouldn't be able to do the shipping on this so bidder would have to pay. (Sorry.) I will accept any challenge when it comes to baking and I have a huge book of cookie recipes (something like 450 recipes) so you name it, I'll try to bake it for you. I've never done a vegan cookie, but I'm willing to try those. Can't guarantee they'll be perfect, but they will be yummy.

I have made several of these Chai Baskets for past Sweet Charity fannish auctions, and have been reliably informed by many that my homemade sweet chai is the best on the planet. Let me prove it to you, with a nice basket, containing a pint-sized jar for my chai starter mix (along with all the individual ingredients and instructions for its compilation and usage), as well as various tea-related accoutrements and yummies (large mug, silverware, cloth napkins, candies, chocolates, cookies, biscuits, et al.). I have also created several mouthwatering, family tested recipes with this chai starter mix ~ my recipes (printed on seven pages of heavy duty stock paper and bound in a folder), let me show you them. \o/

What you're offering: I will create a rec list (min 8 fanworks, unless we're talking about a yuletide-scale fandom or you want all vids) for the fandom, pairing or theme (i.e. "hurt/comfort", "big slash fandom", "ladies being awesome", etc) of your choice. I can rec for fic, vids or both, and I could probably take a crack at fanart too if that's a big thing in the relevant fandom, but it's not my specialty. I don't have to know the fandom beforehand, though if you could link me to a primer or something that would be helpful. Tell me what you like in a fic/vid/etc (or link me to your favorite) and I will do my best to find you stuff like that!
